1) Judy Blume is a great and renown author that seems to come out with great books. The book that I just finished, Deenie, was a very good book while it also described some of the problems of growing up. The main character Deenie has a mom that has set her daughter on a path to be a model when devastating news strikes her family. Deenie is discovered to have Scoliosis and it is doctor’s orders to wear a Milwaukee Brace for the next 4 years of her life. This shows some of the struggles of growing up and how to get through it. During all of this Deenie goes through puberty and she is an example of not what to be when going through puberty. If you like Judy Blume and reading about growing up this is the Book to read.

2) Judy Blume is an American born author who has written many classic kids and adult literature for all ages. Some of her most famous books include Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Deenie, and Blubber. In 2004 she was the recipient National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters.

3&4) One technique that Judy Blume uses that many authors do not use is incorporating many real life struggles into her books. An example of this can be found on page 104 it says “Do normal people touch their bodies before they go to sleep and is it alright to do that?”

5) I would give this book a solid 8 out of 10. Although I really like it it could get a little awkward at some times. I would suggest this to people who are going through puberty.
